David Lee performs environmental consulting and project development and management for Davey Resource Group, which he joined in 2012. He has more than 15 years of experience as an environmental inspector and field biologist on transmission lines and linear construction projects with specialties in surveying and monitoring for desert tortoise and burrowing owl. David has worked as an environmental inspector and biological monitor on construction projects throughout the United States has been published numerous times, including a Comprehensive Biological Surveys Report for the U.S. Air Force. David is founder of the Wildlife Training Institute, an ISA-approved continuing education program for certified arborists, and he is an experienced Integrated Pest Management biologist. David studied ecotourism in Costa Rica as a graduate student at Montana State University, where he earned a master’s degree in biology. He has a bachelor’s degree, also in biology, from University of California, Santa Cruz.
