Mr. Walters, B.A., is a geospatial technician. His routine responsibilities include data and imagery acquisition, manipulation, interpretation, and conversion. He is also responsible for the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) process for utility asset management and vegetation right of way mapping, and urban tree canopy (UTC) analysis projects. In addition, he assists in the setup of Davey’s custom ArcPad field collection programs and the support of mobile mapping hardware and global positioning systems (GPS).
Prior to joining Davey, Justin worked at Garmin International Inc. as a cartography technician where he
manipulated, created, maintained and QA/QC geographic data utilizing ArcGIS and other GIS applications to produce recreational products for Garmin. He assisted in map generation and product compilation, and conducted testing and evaluation of Garmin cartography products.
Mr. Walters holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Geography and Geographic Information Systems from Kent State University. He joined Davey Resource Group in October 2014.
