Justin Walters, B.A., is a geospatial technician. His primary responsibilities include managing the GIS mapping and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) process and generating reports for contract services and vegetation management projects. He is also responsible for data and imagery acquisition, manipulation, interpretation, and conversion for urban tree canopy (UTC) assessments. In addition, he assists in the support of Davey’s custom field collection and management software programs.
Prior to joining Davey, Justin worked at Garmin International Inc. as a cartography technician where he manipulated, created, maintained and QA/QC geographic data utilizing ArcGIS and other GIS applications to produce recreational products for Garmin. He assisted in map generation and product compilation, and conducted testing and evaluation of Garmin cartography products. Mr. Walters holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Geography and Geographic Information Systems from Kent State University. He joined Davey Resource Group in October 2014.
