Ms. Gajdos, M.S., is a geospatial technician. Her routine responsibilities include data and imagery acquisition, manipulation, interpretation, and conversion. She is also responsible for the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) process for utility asset management and vegetation right of way mapping. In addition, she generates final cartographic products for ecological, urban forestry, and utility mapping projects.
Prior to joining Davey, Ms. Gajdos worked with ESG International at Dominion Energy as a GIS Technician on the Asset Data Management Team generating maps, interpreting designs and sketches in the gas industry. She also worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation as a GIS Specialist creating environments for aircraft training simulators. In addition, Debra has internship experience utilizing global positioning systems (GPS) for asset tracking and inventories with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
While completing her Master's degree, Ms. Gajdos created a tool for the Northeast Ohio Four County Planning Organization to measure water discharge from small and intermittent streams. The Bankfull Discharge tool estimates flood-peak discharges and computes topographic attributes of sub-watersheds. The data produced from the geo-processing is then used in USGS calculation for estimating Bankfull characteristics of rural, unregulated streams in Ohio
Ms. Gajdos was a graduate assistant in the Department of Geography and Planning at The University of Akron. She holds a Master of Science in Geography/Geographic Information Science, with a concentration on freshwater quality. Her Bachelor of Science is in Biology, with a concentration in Freshwater Ecology from the University of Akron. Ms. Gajdos is a member of the GIS Users of Northern Ohio (GUONO), and the American Association of Geographers. Debra joined Davey Resource Group in February 2016.
