Mr. Appiah Kubi, M.S., is a geospatial analyst. His current responsibilities include remote sensing and custom programming utilizing python to more efficiently automate daily GIS processes image analysis and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for the Asian longhorned beetle eradication project. He has also completed several urban tree canopy (UTC) analysis projects where he is responsible for manually editing the land cover features during the imagery interpretation and the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) process, in addition to completing i-Tree GIS analyses. Mr. Appiah Kubi is also involved in data and imagery acquisition in support of the mobile mapping projects utilizing Davey Resource Group’s custom ArcPad field collection programs and the geoprocessing of GIS data for field use and final deliverables.
Prior to joining Davey, Mr. Appiah Kubi worked as a research assistant at The University of Akron Department of Geosciences and as a data collection and processing intern in the Guinea Worm Eradication project in Northern Ghana, West Africa.
Mr. Appiah Kubi holds a Master of Science degree in geography from The University of Akron with emphasis on geographic information systems applications and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana. He joined Davey Resource Group in July 2011.
