Andrew Hillman is the Northeast regional senior urban forestry consultant and business developer for Davey Resource Group. As a senior consulting urban forester, Mr. Hillman assists municipalities, engineers, developers, universities, and non-profit organizations to develop and implement community forestry projects, including tree inventories, urban tree canopy assessments, i-Tree analyses, and tree preservation plans. Mr. Hillman also develops management and planting plans that allow communities to maximize ecological and social tree benefits, increase the sustainability of urban areas, and augment green infrastructure. Mr. Hillman has over 25 years of experience in urban forestry. Prior to joining Davey, Mr. Hillman was City Forester for the City of Ithaca, New York. He previously managed the urban forestry program for Oswego, New York. Mr. Hillman has served for many years on the ANSI A300 Committee which develops the national tree care performance standards. He is an International Society of ArboricultureCertified Arborist and Municipal Specialist (NY-5282AM), is past President of the Society of Municipal Arborists and an instructor at their Municipal Forestry Institute, and is a member of the American Society of Consulting Arborists. Mr. Hillman is a board member of the New York State Urban Forestry Council, member of the Finger Lakes Land Trust, and volunteers as a Conservation Easement Steward and Biodiversity Nature Preserve Steward. Mr. Hillman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from the State University of New York.
