"Before, I felt like I wasn't going anywhere with my position. I knew I didn’t want an office job, but I didn’t want to become stagnant and burned out from not advancing in my career. Now I work from a mobile office and travel, but I get down and dirty when I need to. It’s the best of both worlds."

Nathan Hadley caught his largest tiger musky on his first day off after resigning from his previous job. He took it as an omen that he made a wise choice in starting a new career path with Davey.

"At Davey, there are just more opportunities," says Hadley, an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist. "I enjoy building relationships with the people I meet along the way, and I am still able to work outside with the challenge of the weather elements."
Hadley, who previously worked in urban forestry as a foreman, serves as the safety specialist for the Midwest. He joined the Davey family in 2004 and now spends time consulting with crews about safe work practices in the field. He enjoys Davey’s Advanced Arborist Training and working with climbers to help make their jobs safer and more efficient.
