Mr. Grafton started his career as a consulting urban forester implementing large-scale street tree inventories and working with cities to focus on policy and education in urban forestry. He was responsible for implementing GPS and computer based technologies to map tree locations, assess a wide range of various species, and promote and enhance urban forestry in the central southwestern United States. After being hired to the Davey Resource Group in central Oklahoma, he was able to gain further knowledge as a Consulting Utility Forester where he inspected and inventoried trees in the right-of-way and communicated with property owners to develop long-term solutions. Mr. Grafton was quickly promoted to project supervisor, managing seven professional contract foresters working for two clients. He is a Certified Arborist and Utility Specialist (#MW-4479A) through the International Society of Arboriculture, a member of Utility Arborist Association and a national member of ISA. A baccalaureate graduate of Oklahoma State University’s Department of Forestry, Mr. Grafton works with Davey Resource Group as a project developer.
