Riley Burns joined Davey because he recognized more opportunities with the tree experts than with smaller companies.

Burns, who serves as a residential operations foreman in Muskoka, Ontario, began working for Davey in 2003 as a groundsman in the Toronto East district.

“The variety of jobs that I can do – including, but not limited to, utility, residential or storm work – touch on all aspects of our industry,” says Burns, who once helped prune and clear trees at Nanaimo Airport, British Columbia, to ensure planes would have safer clearance when landing.

“I really enjoy the variety, as well as Davey’s support of continued education and the chances I have to train others.”

Burns strives to work as safely and productively as possible, and he shares his experiences with his fellow employee owners. In addition, he offers his personal best and adheres to Davey’s professionalism by treating clients with respect and passing along industry knowledge.
