Polaris District

The Polaris district is one of Columbus, Ohio’s most bustling retail and business centers. It's also one of the most beautiful locales in the city, thanks to Davey’s Commercial Grounds Management division.

Davey provides overall site management, including weeding, pruning, and trash removal at numerous sites in the Polaris area. The sites feature Polaris Fashion Place, Polaris Towne Center, and the grounds at JPMorgan Chase.

The Polaris District landscape is characterized by rich color. At the Fashion Place alone, crews maintain 26,240 perennials of 13 species and two color rotations of 9,900 annuals. They also prune and maintain 17 species of trees (1,675 total trees) and 13 species of shrubs (a total of 2,430 shrubs) and lay 800 yards of mulch.

Davey's grounds management at Polaris begin in 2001, with the install of the original landscaping. Since that time, our efforts have been noticed, including the receipt of an award of distinction from the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET).
