Being prepared for a storm is paramount for a successful line clearance contractor, so when a large ice storm swept through the Michigan area, leaving more than 100,000 Consumers Energy customers without power, Davey was ready.
The outages occurred after a layer of ice was added to the existing snow, creating a tangled mass of broken trees and heavy limbs lying on power lines.
The Davey crews’ diligence, preparation and immediate response made what could’ve been a problematic job, just another day at work. Success was achieved by working long, hard hours with safety always in mind. Not only was the client impressed, but area homeowners were grateful for the quick response and the professional demeanor of the Davey crews.
