Mulch and Bed Maintenance |

Mulch can help keep shrubs and flower beds healthy and attractive. It can help retain moisture and prevent weeds, as well as insulating plants from temperature extremes. Don't mulch too deep - more than 4" is too much. Mulch also can help water penetrate the soil better and moderates soil temperature extremes, which encourages healthy rooting.
