"Davey has been around for more than 100 years. They’ve been successful, in part, because they listen to their work force and find situations and ways in which they can improve."
Raymundo Rubio-Huitron has developed a loyalty to Davey Tree since joining the company in 1999 performing grounds maintenance.
He is a member of the crew that maintains the championship Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Mich. A former statistician in his native Mexico, the multi-lingual Rubio-Huitron says he enjoys working outdoors in nature and near animals. He also appreciates Davey’s commitment to its employees – an attitude that he believes becomes reciprocated when one takes pride in his or her work.
"You’re offered benefits and stock options, and you’re treated as a human," he says. "It’s a good company that gives you job security and offers programs that will help you advance."
