The Davey Tree Expert Company was the host for a presentation by John Pollara, chair of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), Wednesday in Kent. While in the area Pollara met with Kent State university students and spoke to the IMA Akron chapter.
Facilitator for his Davey visit was Nicholas Sucic, Davey vice president and controller, who is also a member and past president of the Akron chapter of IMA.
Pollara holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cal Poly-Pomona and was named a distinguished alumnus of the Cal Poly College of Business Administration in 1999 and to the school’s Accounting Hall of Fame in 1995. He has served IMA in a variety of capacities from local chapter president to membership on the National Board of Directors.
