Katie Downie may be early into her career as a utility forester, but she knows Davey is a company that will support her advancement through training and pertinent job experience.
Downie joined Davey Resource Group in 2006 and works along transmission line rights-of-way throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. An International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist and utility specialist, she began her career in the industry as a procurement forester for a lumber company. It was a smart move for her to take a job with Davey, and it has turned into much more than a way to earn a paycheck, she says.
