Dennis Dotson followed the career advice of an uncle and took a job with Davey Tree in 1982.
“My Uncle Herschel Hawkins, a 38-year Davey veteran, encouraged me to join the Davey team,” Dotson says. “I had grown up listening to exciting stories of working in the tree industry and was drawn to carrying on the tradition. Now I am telling my own stories!”
Throughout his quarter-century Davey career, Dotson has held jobs from climber to area manager, which he currently serves as in northern California for Davey Utility Services. He currently works on the Pacific Gas and Electric account in North Valley while overseeing several other projects and managers throughout the region.
Dotson says opportunities within the company are endless for those willing to put forth an effort.
