Lance Dye is an urban forester with Davey Resource Group. He conducts computerized tree inventories for parks and municipalities using pen-based GIS data collection units. Using this type of field equipment, he has assisted with a variety of municipal tree inventory projects including Charlotte, N.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Easton, Penn.; and several communities in Indiana. Mr. Dye also has performed data collection for the Indiana Department of Natural Resource’s Forest Inventory and Analysis program. Before joining Davey, he gained valuable experience as an urban forestry intern for a joint project with the City of Bloomington, Ind., and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. He is a Certified Arborist (IN-3261A) with the International Society of Arboriculture. Mr. Dye is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor of science in environmental management.
