"A career with Davey has provided me with an opportunity to work in a field that I love… In addition to career development, Davey also gives back to the community by providing opportunities for employees to participate in fund-raising events for a variety of organizations."
Ana Burns, a biologist, joined Davey Resource Group in 2002 because she wanted to continue her established career in an environmental field. She says Davey provided her the flexibility to further develop the professional skills she needed to move forward in her career.
Since then, she has been promoted to coordinator of ecological services of the Natural Resource Consulting division of DRG. She oversees a staff that works on Davey’s wetlands projects, ecological surveys, and environmental planning studies, in addition to the specialized management of ecological and wetlands permitting projects, endangered species surveys, and natural resource restoration projects.
Burns says Davey has great opportunities for motivated people.
"When initially hired for Davey, I was provided with a variety of professional development opportunities that helped me create my own career path and develop my unique skills to achieve my professional goals," she says.
