David Riddell is a biologist and project manager for a variety of natural resource projects, including wetlands delineations, wetlands monitoring, wetlands permitting, endangered species consulting, and invasive species control. Mr. Riddell is a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator in the states of Indiana (License No. 216931) and Ohio (License No. 98953) and directs all Davey Natural Resource Consulting Group invasive plant control projects. He is currently involved in the large-scale eradication of Typha angustifolia (narrow-leaved cattail) and Rhamnus frangula (glossy buckthorn) within 50 acres of wetlands to be restored along Pond Brook in Twinsburg, Ohio on land managed by Metro Parks, Serving Summit County. In addition, Mr. Riddell is a Certified Arborist (OH-5230A) through the International Society of Arboriculture. He has served as a data technician on two U. S. Forest Service projects involving the Urban Forest Effects Model (UFORE) and as an inventory arborist on several municipality, park, and college campus tree inventories using pen-based GIS data collection units. In 2005, Mr. Riddell was a technical support specialist for the Asian Longhorned Beetle Eradication Program located in New York City. His duties were to supervise field operations, coordinate data with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), perform quality control assessments, and to collect and organize all collected data. Mr. Riddell has completed training through Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for Qualitative Habitat Evaluation Index (QHEI) and Ohio Rapid Assessment Method (ORAM) v 5. Mr. Riddell has also completed a 38-hour Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation and Management Training Program and a Wetland Plant Identification course.
