Chadwick Appleman
Coordinator, Ecological Services

Chadwick Appleman, B.S., is an environmental scientist and Coordinator of Ecological Services in Davey’s Ft. Wayne, Indiana office. Mr. Appleman has conducted hundreds of wetland and stream delineations, authored many Section 401 and 404 permit applications, and developed wetland mitigation and restoration plans for sites up to 20 acres in size. In 2004, he assembled and managed a team that completed a county-wide inventory of road assets maintained by the DeKalb County Highway Department using global positioning system equipment. He has also performed projects involving aggregate stockpile volume measurements for quarry operations in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan. Additionally, he has conducted over 50 Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments in Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois, and managed a number of Phase III environmental remediation projects. He is registered in Indiana to practice as an Environmental Health Specialist, has completed wetlands delineation certification training at The Ohio State University, and is a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists. He delivers wetlands regulatory presentations to realtors, developers, and conservation organizations on a regular basis. Prior to joining Davey, Mr. Appleman was the owner and founder of Applied Environmental, LLC. Mr. Appleman earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in natural resources and environmental management with a chemistry minor from Ball State University. He is currently in the process of earning a Master of Science degree and is completing research involving bioaccumulation of chromium and nickel by cattail (Typha latifolia) as it varies in response to growing mediums.
