Mark Johnson is a biologist who assists with a variety of natural resource projects, including invasive species control, exotic plant monitoring, and exotic insect surveys. He is currently involved in the eradication of Typha angustifolia (narrow-leaved cattail) and Rhamnus frangula (glossy buckthorn) within 50 acres of wetlands to be restored along Pond Brook in Twinsburg, Ohio, on land managed by Metro Parks, Serving Summit County. Mr. Johnson is a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator for the states of Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. He also helped complete a European Woodwasp Trap Tree Survey with the USDA Forest Service. Mr. Johnson graduated from Kent State University in May 2008 with a bachelor of science degree in conservation.
