When the Homestead Valley Community Association sponsored a Chipper Day as part of the FireSafe Marin program, Davey showed up to help convert the brush into chips. The program, aimed at reducing the amount of fuel available to a wildfire, was organized by the Association for the 1,000-home development. Davey employees Chanty Nou, Luis Maltez and Rogelio Serrano spent two days processing materials brought by homeowners to the chipper site.

Davey's N. Houston office provided plant care to a variety of local organizations including a Women’s Shelter, the Zoo, Ronald McDonald House, Make-A-Wish Foundation as well as several schools.
Richmond, VA
Boys from the Heart of Virginia Boy Scout Council who made summertime camping trips at Camp T. Brady Saunders had better experiences this year because of labor and equipment from Davey's Richmond office. The office helped clear trees and debris form the campground property.
