When Ashland University, located in Northeast Ohio, decide to expand their campus, they quickly called Davey’s large tree moving operation to assist. Ashland wanted to blend several new structures into the existing landscape.

Davey easily accommodated this goal by adding mature trees to the land surrounding the new buildings. The 60 trees, all from the Davey nursery in nearby Wooster, were planted with a variety of tree spades.

The trees were planted during construction and Davey experts provided both pre and post planing care, including the installation of a cabling system for added support.

The partnership with the University has been mutually beneficial, and has resulted in the addition of a valuable natural resource that will not only improve campus aesthetics, but enhance the overall quality of life for the student, staff and faculty population.
