Since joining Davey Resource Group in 2003 as a pre-inspector, Vince Mikulanis has worked his way to becoming a project manager of one of the division’s largest projects.

He oversees the San Diego Gas & Electric vegetation management program, which involves a DRG staff of 30 people who provide utility forestry consultation, forester assistance, and corrective maintenance inspection. He has enjoyed witnessing the staff approach the work as more than just a job, growing professionally through training and certifications.

"Davey is a strong company," Mikulanis says. "We continue to grow, not only from increases in sales, but through an active acquisition department as well. Davey can take you pretty much anywhere you want to go, and if the opportunity isn’t immediately available, the right people can make new opportunities for themselves."

Mikulanis, who graduated with a degree in forest conservation from Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif., also has been involved in a Southern California Edison project since it began. He says he enjoys helping new work quickly come together, from arranging equipment and staff to identifying client expectations and "showing them the best of what we do."
