Jeff McCormick’s life changed when he joined Davey Tree in 1995.

He was attending a community college and working at a gas station when he learned about a job opportunity with Davey. Starting as a climber on a Davey Utility Services project with San Diego Gas and Electric, he now works as supervisor for the Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company account.

“I heard some attributes about Davey that were attractive to me,” he says. “The first was that the work was outdoors full time. The second was that I knew I would enjoy the tree industry because I was helping a good friend of mine with his firewood business.”

Working outdoors is McCormick’s idea of the perfect job. He also says he appreciates “the opportunity to succeed by rising to meet new challenges,” as well as the training and education offered by Davey.

McCormick encourages anyone considering a job with Davey to take action and submit an application.
