"Davey is a good company with a strong background and a positive future. The benefits, continued training and focus on being the best make Davey a company you want to work for and be a part of."
Thomas Beshoar is considered an artist by some of his customers. His talent and tree and plant knowledge are among skills he’s proud to contribute to Davey.
"I was taking down a sweetgum tree in the back yard of a customer’s house, and there were many obstacles to overcome," says Beshoar, who began working with Davey’s Residential Services in 1998. "When I finished the tree, the customer came to me and said, 'You’re like an artist.' She told me she would never have anybody else do her yard work."
Now a sales representative in Missouri, Beshoar believes that applying your best efforts to each job rubs off on others around you. This gives every employee fulfillment in their work and the company, says Beshoar, who also is the fire marshal with the volunteer fire department in Red Bud, Ill., located about 40 miles southeast of St. Louis.
"When I was a tree care foreman, our crews became inspired by every challenge we came across. They felt they were a part of every job because their input was valuable, and this led to them always giving their best," Beshoar says. "People here take pride in the work they do. In turn, the customers are getting the best job done, always."
