“Davey provides a copious amount of training so that you can do what you do safely and intelligently while constantly learning.”
Natascha Batchelor switched her major in college because she realized a career with Davey Tree best suited her.
“I was taking arborist classes at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Davey representative had been there for a career fair,” Batchelor said. “I read the materials that were left, and it looked like what I wanted to do. So I switched my major to urban forestry because of Davey.”
Batchelor, who joined Davey in 1997, now is the district manager of the residential and commercial office in Cape Cod, Mass. She also is a member of the Massachusetts Arborists Association’s Examining Committee.
She believes the benefits Davey offers its employees are the best in the business. “It’s a great company to work for, partly because of its size,” Batchelor said. “There are opportunities for advancement, chances to go elsewhere, and great benefits and training. And they stress safety.”
