Luis Miramontes appreciates the training and opportunities he has received and shared since joining Davey's Utility Services in 1991.
After friends encouraged him to apply for the job, he began his career with the tree experts as a foreman. An ISA certified arborist and utility specialist, Miramontes now is supervisor of northern operations for the account of the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, the nation's largest municipal utility.
While he enjoys traveling and meeting new people through his job, he takes the most pleasure in helping his crew members be satisfied with their work.
"When crews are struggling to get the job done, I like to show them how to safely get it done and to complete the work more efficiently," Miramontes says. "When the work is finished, they’re grateful for learning something. It’s fulfilling for all of us."
