David Hickey joined Davey Resource Group when Southeastern Reprographics, Inc., an asset management firm, was acquired by Davey Tree.

A supervisor for geographic information systems (GIS) projects in the South, Hickey is based in Alpharetta, Ga., and has been part of the Davey team since 2007. He has worked in the utility mapping industry since 1991 and has been an integral part of many projects including work order postings, which entails adding in additional distribution to the computer model that is physically put up in the field.

Hickey says he is impressed with Davey’s work ethics and business plans, and he appreciates that the managers value all employees.

“You will be treated fairly and have every chance to become what you want within the company,” he says. “Davey realizes you are a person within the company and outside the company.”

Outside of the company, Hickey is very active in his church, and his mission trips have included travels to Russia. His next excursion there is planned for 2008.
