I asked a general manager what I needed to do to become a general foreman and he explained the opportunities and I took off with it.”

Dennis Jenkins joined Davey in 1989. Prior to working for Davey, Dennis worked for a multitude of different companies, but always felt like there was no room for professional growth. That all changed when he came to Davey.

Shortly after being hired on as a groundman, Dennis’ career took off. He was promoted within two years to the position of foreman on a Davey utility account, and shortly after, general foreman. Dennis said it was the recognition of all his hard work and the people he worked with on a daily basis that catapulted him to where he is today.

Currently Dennis is a utility accounts manager for Davey. After 18 years with the company, Dennis knows there are still many opportunities for growth in his own career and in his position, he can help boost others as well.
