The United States Air Force Memorial in Washington, D.C., captures the imagination with 270-foot “Soaring to Glory” stainless steel spikes lifting skyward. However, Davey's experts are more familiar with the striking ground level features.
The landscape design includes specialized plants and trees. The Davey team planted more than 300 trees and 60,000 ground cover plants on the property.
Davey used a variety of planting equipment, including tree installation via an underground duck-bill strapping system, eliminating the need for staking. This type of innovative craftsmanship enabled the Davey team to complete the intricate landscape design to perfection.
