Jed Day joined Davey in 1982. As one of the most diversified companies in the industry, Davey is unique in its ability to offer employees the chance to work in several service lines during their career. Jed took advantage of that opportunity, and prides himself on being able to succeed.
Jed started out working as a utility line clearance tree trimmer and continued to climb his way up through utility services until 1990 when he made a switch to residential/commercial services. While the transition from one service line to another is challenging, Jed was willing to do what it took to get to where he is today.
From Houston to Chicago, from Chicago to Kent, from Kent to Denver, Jed found the experience and excitement he craved as an urban forester in both geographical diversity and on-the-job know-how. Today Jed is the Operations Manager for the South Central Operating Group.
