Mike Mittiga has long been familiar with Davey Tree’s positive reputation because he was raised near the company’s Kent headquarters. During his college years, he began considering a career with the green industry leader.
Mittiga ran a small lawn care and landscaping company while he attended Kent State University, from which he graduated with a business management degree. Upon meeting then-Chief Executive Officer R. Douglas Cowan, who served on the KSU Board of Trustees, he realized a career with Davey just made sense.
Now account manager for the Orlando Utilities Commission project, Mittiga joined Davey Utility Services in 2006 as a groundsman.
