| 1.) | Q. I'm not very confortable with computers and the Internet. Do you have any computer support? |
| A. When you buy the software, we will provide a manual on the program, but we are also able to travel to your office and train your users on Treekeeper® 7. We will provide a new manual when we do upgrades and provide telephone support during regular business hours.
|
| 2.) | Q. What about upgrades? |
| A. If you have a stand-alone or network install, our service representatives will contact you with information about upgrades. If you have a subscription, you will receive free upgrades with the yearly subscription fee. And because the upgrades will be online, you won't have to worry about buying a new product every year.
|
| 3.) | Q. If I subscribe to the service, how secure is my data? |
| A. Davey Resource Group's webserver is stored behind a firewall, and the data is backed up each and every night. We keep backup archives for an entire week. So, not only is the data kept secure, but we can recover from disaster scenarios, whether they are caused by technical failure or end-user mistake!
|
| 4.) | Q. I already have a tree inventory, and software. Can my data be migrated to TreeKeeper® 7? |
| A. TreeKeeper® 7 is incredibly flexible! Davey Resource Group has developed ways to convert data from TreeKeeper® Jr, TreeKeeper® 5, TreeKeeper® 6, ACRT®'s TreeManager® for DOS, and Canopy's® Natural Path for DOS into TreeKeeper® 7. Davey Resource Group is confident in being able to convert data from any source into TreeKeeper® 7. Contact a sales person today and ask to have a quote prepared.
|
| 5.) | Q. Does TreeKeeper® 7 support GIS based information? |
| A. TreeKeeper® 7 can directly export its information into ArcView® Shape files. Davey Resource Group also offers an ArcView® Extension, and a modified Web Browser (FKO GISBrowser) which can work with the maps AND TreeKeeper® 7 at the same time!
|
| 6.) | Q. Can I attach digital photos to a tree site? |
| A. TreeKeeper® 7 has the ability to associate any type of digital document to a tree site, whether it be a .jpg or .gif (common digital photo formats), or even word processor documents (such as MS Word or Corel Wordperfect), spreadsheets (MS Excel or Lotus 1-2-3), Adobe PDF files, etc. Simply click the 'Document' link at the bottom of every 'View Site' screen and a menu will come up that allows the user to associate files to the tree site. |
