Davey Utility crews helped quickly restore power in Alabama after
the worst thunderstorms in a decade knocked the lights out. Davey
helped Decatur Utilities, which serves more than 17,000 customers
in northern Alabama, restore power in less than 48 hours. Crews
were called out the evening of June 22, just hours after their
daily shift ended. The 10 Davey employees worked through the night
clearing trees off power lines. According to the utility, 20
primary lines were damaged, and approximately 80 trees were removed
from lines. |
