International Society of Arboriculture PowerPoint Program

The Davey Tree Expert Company and its consulting division, Davey Resource Group, are proud supporters and partners of the International Society of Arboriculture's (ISA) efforts to advance the art and science of arboriculture. For more than a century, a hallmark of Davey has been effectively communicating research findings and technical innovations in tree care to our professionals and the public we serve through a variety of customized educational programs.

Davey Resource Group was awarded a contract by the ISA's Educational Goods and Services Committee to develop a PowerPoint™ program on six important arboricultural topics:

The Benefits of Trees
Caring for Your Tree
Selecting a Tree
Why Hire an Arborist
Why Topping Hurts Trees

The goal of this project is to create scientifically accurate and engaging educational programs on each topic that arborists can access from the internet, download easily, and then use for educational programs to a wide variety of audiences in their communities.

Uniquely, Davey brings to the ISA not only the talents and experience of the project managers, but literally the whole of The Davey Tree Expert Company. From conception to development to finalization, the PowerPoint™ presentations will have the benefit of technical input and review by Davey Technical Advisors and other Certified Arborists, including Municipal Specialists and Board Master Certified Arborists, some of whom teach at the university level. Davey's corporate communications team will also advise on this project to assure the final product is graphically engaging and suitable for a wide variety of audiences.

The ISA has confidence in Davey to complete this project since they know Davey has developed and conducted countless educational and training programs for internal use and for external clients. Our corporate communications staff has state-of-the-art equipment and other graphics programs available, as well as professional communication education and training. Davey Resource Group has successfully performed and led many workshops and public meetings for clients at the end of important urban forestry and ecological projects. Davey has also been solely responsible for creating presentations and conducting workshops for large projects and nationwide dissemination through the U.S. Forest Service's National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council and the i-Tree initiative.

For this project, the ISA is depending on Davey's expertise and creativity to translate technical information into presentations and written materials that are tailored to the needs of their intended audience and other partners.
