After the City of Sunnyvale upgraded and expanded its computer network, its urban forestry manager found the tree database management software was incompatible with the new computers. Instead of struggling with outdated software, he contacted Davey Resource Group (DRG) to upgrade the current tree inventory management system.

DRG converted the city's database for use inside of TreeKeeper® Online, our proprietary software system and the only Internet-based application of its kind.

After updating to TreeKeeper Online, the Sunnyvale staff was able to access the database from any Internet-capable computer by using assigned user names and passwords. This flexibility allowed users to work from various terminals inside and outside the Trees and Landscaping Division and to access the system simultaneously. The City later expanded the TreeKeeper system and deployed two Laptop Sync installations in the field. Now team members have the capability to review and update site information and prescribe work while at the location. Data is synchronized with the main database in the office or via wireless connection.
