When media giant Gannett, publisher of USA Today, looked for a grounds management company for their world headquarters, they needed a company that could provide expert care on the 25-acre site. They also needed safe and reliable service.

Davey delivered, and managed the property's terrace gardens, sports fields, trails, picnic areas, flower beds, turf, trees and water features. Given the property's size, access and schedule required careful planning.

Davey's management efforts were tailored to the property, including special care of an elaborate system of rooftop terrace plantings featuring drip irrigation. The property also included wonderful open "green spaces", water features, and several sports fields, all of which were maintained in superb condition by Davey.

This disciplined management approach earned Davey national recognition for the site, including an Honor Award from the Professional Grounds Management Society.
