Davey Among 20 Largest Employee-owned Companies

KENT, Ohio - In the year in which Davey celebrates 30 years of employee ownership, the green industry leader has been recognized among the top 20 employee-owned companies in the country.

Davey, employee owned since 1979, is the largest such company in Ohio and is the 17th largest in the United States, according to the National Center for Employee Ownership.

The Davey Tree Expert Company, with U.S. and Canadian operations in 45 states and five provinces, provides a variety of tree services, grounds maintenance, and consulting services for the residential, utility, commercial, and government markets. Founded in 1880, Davey is employee owned and has more than 7,000 employees.
