Davey Among EDGE Award Recipients

The 2009 Crain's Leading EDGE Awards honor 95 companies that collectively pumped $1.6 billion into the Northeast Ohio economy last year, as measured through their combined earnings and compensation to local employees.

The EDGE, or Economic Development through Growth and Entrepreneurship, report is in its third year. The Davey Tree Expert Company has received a Leading EDGE each year.

This year's group is a diverse one: From machining to marketing, employment screening to supplying solar energy equipment, these companies are quietly succeeding where the region's traditional big powerhouses are going through highly visible struggles.
