A.D. Ali, Davey expert, entomologist and author loves his work.  "I enjoy the opportunity to conduct creative research into pest management," he says.

Research into the management of Southern turf grasses and plant disease diagnosis pushes Ali's understanding of how best to maintain a healthy turf. In the South, pest management is a serious business, and Ali is working to develop better care procedures to control and reduce insect and disease damage to the landscape.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in entomology and master's degree in plant protection and pest management, University of California; doctorate in entomology, Louisiana State University.

Certification:
International Society of Arboriculture board certified master arborist.
