Emily Spillett joined the Davey Resource Group team in 2001 as a consulting utility forester. Emily has 10 years professional experience working with utility forestry, urban forestry, land use planning, and natural resource management issues. Ms. Spillett currently coordinates communications with clients and manages a team of more than 50 utility foresters and certified arborists who are responsible for inspecting trees and vegetation in compliance with NERC and California Resource Code requirements. Ms. Spillett worked as a manager for the North Bay Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) utility project from 2004 until 2008. In 2008, Ms. Spillett successfully managed two systemwide inventory projects for PG&E. These inventories required the implementation, training, and management of processes to efficiently survey over 110,000 miles of PG&E property. Additionally, in 2009 Ms. Spillett successfully completed an inventory project for Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) on over 3,000 miles of critical transmission lines. Ms. Spillett holds a bachelor of science degree in environmental forest biology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. In order to obtain this degree, Ms. Spillett was required to complete forest and ecological inventories in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Her past professional experience includes working with The Nature Conservancy as both an interpreter and a research biologist.
