Deborah Sheeler, M.A., is a Geographic Information Systems Analyst and Cartographer with 15 years of experience applying GIS technology to environmental analysis. She has played a key role leading the remote sensing and image analysis for all canopy and land cover assessments and is responsible for managing and supporting Davey’s custom Asset Manager software. Ms. Sheeler currently supervises GIS operations at Davey and has been with the company since 1997.
Her routine work involves spatial analysis and interpretation, database and project management, and the creation and design of cartographic products through use of advanced GIS software. In addition, Ms. Sheeler has experience and knowledge in the fields of natural hazards research and custom programming with an emphasis on Visual Basic and various GIS programming languages. She also has extensive experience in the utilization, maintenance, and support of pen-computer hardware and global positioning systems (GPS).
She holds a Master of Arts degree in Geography from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in geography from Central Missouri State University with a minor in earth science. Contact: Deborah.Sheeler@davey.com
