Mark Johnson is a biologist and urban forester with Davey
Resource Group. His urban forestry duties include conducting
municipal and park tree inventories. Mr. Johnson is a Certified
Arborist (OH-6101A) through the International Society of
Arboriculture. His ecological duties include assistance with a
variety of natural resource projects, including invasive species
control, bat mist-net surveys, wetlands studies, exotic plant
monitoring, and exotic insect surveys. Mr. Johnson is a Certified
Commercial Pesticide Applicator in the states of Ohio (License No.
108247), Indiana (License No. F225357), and Pennsylvania (License
No. 904274). He was involved in the eradication of Typha
angustifolia (narrow-leaved cattail) and Rhamnus frangula (glossy
buckthorn) within 50 acres of restored wetlands along Pond Brook in
Twinsburg, Ohio on land managed by Metro Parks, Serving Summit
County. Mr. Johnson was also involved in the eradication of
Lonicera maackii (amur honeysuckle), L. japonica (Japanese
honeysuckle), and Elaeagnus umbellate (autumn olive) within 434
acres of Germantown MetroPark in Dayton, Ohio on land managed by
Five Rivers MetroParks. Mr. Johnson graduated from Kent State
University in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in
conservation.
