Kristen Johnson is a biologist and urban forester with
Davey Resource Group. Her urban forestry duties include conducting
tree inventory projects for golf courses, parks, municipalities,
and university campuses. She has experience with GIS-based pen
tablet computers and GPS technology. Ms. Johnson is a
Certified Arborist (OH-6104A) through the International Society of
Arboriculture. Ms. Johnson also assists with a variety of
ecological consulting projects, including mitigation monitoring,
wetlands delineations, and invasive species control.
Ms. Johnson holds a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator
License with the State of Ohio (License No. 108879). She has been
involved in the large-scale eradication of Lonicera maackii (amur
honeysuckle), L. japonica (Japanese honeysuckle), and Elaeagnus
umbellata (autumn olive) within 434 acres of Germantown MetroPark
in Dayton, Ohio on land managed by Five Rivers MetroParks. She has
also conducted large exotic plant monitoring studies for the
National Park Service in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and
Hopewell Culture National Historical Park. Ms. Johnson joined Davey
Resource Group in 2007 after graduating from Kent State University
with a Bachelor of Science degree in botany.
