David Riddell is a biologist and Coordinator of Restoration Services for Davey’s Natural Resource Consulting Group. Mr. Riddell has 8 years experience working in the natural resources and restoration field. Mr. Riddell oversees invasive vegetation control, stream and wetland restoration, native plantings, prairie installation and maintenance, and erosion control/site stabilization projects. Mr. Riddell is a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator in Ohio (License No. 98953) and an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist (OH-5230A). He has managed multiple large-scale habitat restoration projects for clients, including park districts and federal government agencies, controlling invasive plant species, such as Typha angustifolia (narrow-leaved cattail), Phalaris arundinacea (reed canary grass), Phragmites australis (common reed), Rhamnus frangula (glossy buckthorn), Lonicera maackii (Amur honeysuckle), L. japonica (Japanese honeysuckle), and Elaeagnus umbellata (autumn olive). In addition, Mr. Riddell has served as a project manager and provided oversight on several stream and wetland restoration, prairie installation, and native re-vegetation projects across the Midwest. Mr. Riddell has completed training through Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for Qualitative Habitat Evaluation Index (QHEI) and Ohio Rapid Assessment Method (ORAM) v.5 protocols. Mr. Riddell has also completed a 38-hour U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation and Management Training Program and a Wetlands Plant Identification course. Mr. Riddell is active in the Ohio Invasive Plant Council and the Midwest Invasive Plant Network. Mr. Riddell joined Davey Resource Group in 2003 and graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in conservation.
