Carbon Offset Verification Services for Urban Forestry

For more than a century, scientists at The Davey Tree Expert Company have recognized the important environmental, communal, and economic role that trees play in our world.

We are committed to maintaining healthy trees and managing the impact that today's actions have on tomorrow's environment. As part of that effort, we are proud of our role as an Approved Offset Project Verifier in the area of urban forestry for the Chicago Climate Exchange.

The Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) is the world's first and North America's only legally binding rules-based greenhouse gas emissions allowance trading system, as well as the world's only global system for emissions trading based on all six greenhouse gases. CCX Members are leaders in greenhouse gas (GHG) management and represent all sectors of the global economy, as well as public sector innovators.

The Davey Institute assists in this effort by providing expertise through independent third party verification services, ultimately helping CCX members meet annual GHG emission reduction targets and reduce environmentally impact.
