Davey expert Jim Zwack is director of technical services for The Davey Institute. His interest is in making sure that urban trees get the care they need to thrive.
“Trees that grow in unnatural, urban environments often need help to reach their full landscape potential. It is our job to provide that assistance in the most responsible ways possible,” he says.
Zwack has studied and written about a variety of tree diseases and stressors, and has shared his knowledge by writing for green trade publications and making presentations to arboricultural audiences across the country. Through his activities in support of tree research, he has emerged as a leader in industry organizations dedicated to furthering tree research initiatives.
