Talking Trees: How to Protect Your Trees From Construction Damage

Your trees are valuable assets and mature trees are very hard to replace. What if you have a construction project on your property and need to build near trees? What are your choices?

In this episode of Talking Trees, Davey Resource Group Expert, ISA Certified Arborist, and municipal specialist Jenny Gulick lets you know how to protect your trees from construction damage.

During construction, trenching, soil compaction and soil clearing and grading can cause significant damage to your trees. Protecting and monitoring the tree are critical to keeping it safe.

Work with your local certified arborist to create a post-construction plan that follows appropriate tree care and maintenance practices such as pruning, appropriate watering, mulching and fertilization.
