How and Why to Fertilize Your Trees

We all want strong healthy trees, the type of magnificent specimens you might see in a forest setting. Forest trees thrive without the addition of fertilizer because the soils are rich in humus, but, in contract, the urban landscape is typically much more harsh.

In this episode of Talking Trees, Davey Expert and ISA Board Certified Master Arborist R.J. Laverne demonstrates the importance of tree fertilization. He explains the often confusing terminology on fertilizer bag labels and provides tips on how, when and why to fertilize.

Applying the tree fertilizer can be complex. Contact your local certified arborist to request a consultation and get your questions answered.
